Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) Routing and Switching teaches networking based on technology. It covers protocols and theory at deeper levels to help students succeed in networking-related degree programs and a range of professions.

The CCNA indicates a foundation in and apprentice knowledge of networking. CCNA certified professionals can install, configure, and operate LAN, WAN, and dial access services for small networks (100 nodes or fewer), including but not limited to use of these protocols: IP, RIP, EIGRP, OSPF, Serial, Frame Relay, VLANs, Ethernet, Access Lists.

    Course description

    This course helps you prepare for CCNA certification. You will learn decision-making and problem solving techniques in the application of science, mathematics and communication to solve networking problems. Through hands on activities and labs, you will learn to install and configure Cisco switches and routers in multi-protocol networks using local and wide area networks (LAN/WAN), provide level 1 troubleshooting service, and improve network performance and security.

    Eligibility Criteria

    There is no prerequisite but would be an advantage to have some basic networking knowledge.

    Course Delivery

    This course has been designed with two full classroom and lab based days per week over five months. During the course, you’ll have access to official Cisco online learning resources and assessment tools, study guides, and lab equipment, as well as instructor support and career guidance.

    Qualifications

    CCNA is a comprehensive e-learning program, which provides students with the Internet technology skills essential in a global economy. The ITPT College will provide Web-based content, assessment, student performance tracking, hands-on labs, instructor training and support, and preparation for industry standard certifications.

    Funding Available:

    This course is FREE (SAAS part-time funding) to anyone who is on benefits or earning £25,000 or less, given that they have not used SAAS/ILA funding towards any other course/training in the last 12 months.
