In a technology-driven world, we are pleased to offer block coding courses using kid’s favorite games Minecraft and Frozen. This course would give an understanding of the Java language in a very easy way using blocks of codes which are easy to understand. Students are empowered to create authentic artifacts and engage with Computer Science as a medium for creativity, communication, problem-solving, and fun.

Our kids academic classes are fully tailored and will equip your child with the skills required for school projects. Our mission is to help students with their academic studies in an innovative and fun way. We are committed to provide services that ensure each child reaches their full potential.
This will be a 5 weeks course and will cover technologies such as: Microsoft Word, Power Point, Excel and Access followed by an assessment week.
1st Week- Fundamentals of Word Process
In the first week kids will be introduced to Word Processing Application using Microsoft Word. Microsoft Word is one of the most popular word processing programs used in all technological industries. It allows users to create a wide variety of text documents, including everything from essays and class projects to brochures and greeting cards. Microsoft Word makes the editing and writing process much easier with of tools like “copy and paste,” word count, spell check and grammar checks. These skills will accelerate student’s academic performance at their schools.
Skills kids will learn:
Starting Microsoft Word 2016, page layout, selecting and editing text
Text formatting, format painter, finding and replacing text tools
Inserting pictures and adjusting and applying effects
Inserting pages
Creating charts and hyperlinks
Academic Skills: Writing and MS Word Tools
2nd Week- Fundamentals of Microsoft Excel
Kids will be introduced to Microsoft Excel. Microsoft Excel is a spreadsheet developed by Microsoft which helps us understand data in creative and unique ways.
Skills kids will learn:
Starting Excel Word 2016, introduction to worksheets, workbooks and cells
Sort and Functions (Sum, Max, Min, Average, Count Numbers)
Relative Cell Referencing
Charts, Tables and Pictures
Academic Skills: Maths and MS Excel Tools
3rd Week- Fundamentals of Microsoft Power Point
Microsoft PowerPoint is more than a simple presentation tool. The application allows users to create organized slideshow presentation. It equips you with all of the skills you will need to produce professional presentations and will enhance child’s presentation skills at school.
Skills kids will learn:
Starting MS Power Point 2016, entering and editing text, working with bulleted text
Creating a themed presentation, background formatting, adding, modifying and removing transition effects
Creating a table, inserting and delete rows and columns, adjusting the table dimensions,
Rehearsing slide timings, working with the rehearsal toolbar, changing timings, setting up a slide show, Slide Show view

4rd Week- Fundamentals of Microsoft Access
Microsoft Access 2016 is a must have skill for all schools students. It is the most popular database application. Our course will teach the basic fundamentals of Access such as the features and tools used for users to design and implement their own databases. This will help kids as a further aid and development to assist in their SQA exams.
Skills kids will learn:
Starting Access 2016, introduction to database, table, form, report and label
Opening a database, entering a new record, sorting records
Creating a table using the datasheet view
Designing queries and control Operators
Creating forms and entering a record
Academic Skills: Organisational Skills and MS Access Tools
5th Week- Assessment:
Students will be given assessment activity sheets and e-files where they will work along a series of tasks based on the MS Office Suite. At the end, certificates and an end report will be given based on their performance.
This will be a 4-week course divided into 2 blocks.
Block 1 – Minecraft Block Coding
In the first 2 weeks kids will be introduced to block coding using the Minecraft game. Minecraft is a very educational and an open-world game that promotes creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving in an immersive environment where the only limit is your kid’s imagination.
Things you can do in Minecraft:
Collaborate on projects with classmates
Document their work, and share in class.
Personalize their game
Block 2 –Frozen Block Coding
In the 2nd block kids will learn block coding (Javascript) with Anna and Elsa as they explore the magic and beauty of ice. They will create snowflakes and patterns as you ice-skate and make a winter wonderland that they can then show their friends.
Things you can do in Frozen:
Collaborate on projects with classmates
Document their work, and share in class.
Personalize their game
