This Java SE 8 Professional training teaches students who have a background of JAVA SE8 and have done JAVA Level 1 – Associate to make your self-expert in programming using the Java programming language. It explores the significance of object-oriented programming, the keywords and constructs of the Java programming language and the steps required to create complex Java technology programs.
This hands-on Java Programming course provides an introduction to programming using the Java language. Students are introduced to the java building blocks, Object Oriented Programming techniques, and specific language syntax. The course introduces important algorithmic constructs, string and character manipulation, dynamic memory allocation and fundamental object-oriented programming concepts. The course explains the use of inheritance and polymorphism, implementing interfaces and abstraction early on so the students can practice extensively in the hands-on labs. Object oriented programming techniques with the concept of SOA, Service Oriented Architecture, and exception handling is emphasised. The course includes an introduction to Netbeans, a recommended framework by Oracle Corporation for almost all kind of java application, so student will be able to write flexible, user-friendly programs.
Oracle Certified Associate, Java SE 8 Programmer. Relevant work/education expereince will be consider and this needs to be highlighted on the course admission form.
Exams & Recommended Training
Exam(1Z0-808) required to go to Professional Level 2(1Z0-809) exam.
This Java program also offers a number of shorter curricula which are related to SQA HN Units and sits @ SCQF Level 7. The total credits of 32 can be achieved on passing SQA exams successfully at no additional cost.

You have the option of undertaking this course via following learning modes:
1.) Face to Face Classroom based Learning: You will attend the class each week on the day and time mentioned above.
2.) Virtual Learning: Live traditional face to face class will broadcast to all virtual learners each week on a specified time.
3.) Blended Learning: Mixture of Face to face and Virtual learning (must inform when joining the course).
Option to join this Tutor-Led Course as a Virtual Learner from home:
Students have the option of joining this tutor–led course as a Virtual Learning. For this mode of learning, they will join the course virtually from home. Students will join the class virtually at the times mentioned above and will follow the live virtual class that is led by our qualified instructor. This had proved a popular mode of learning for students as it allows them to follow the course/lessons in real time, discuss the course with you fellow students and instructor during the lesson and allows the instructor to ensure you are successfully completing the work. You will not need to attend our Glasgow training centre for any lessons. A recording of each lesson will be available for student to view in their own time too. We would send students a link to access this virtual learning classroom via Microsoft Teams.

In addition to the funding application student must fill ITPT course admission application form so we can reserve the place while their SAAS funding application is in process. Any student who does not inform us then their place in the course will not be guaranteed as we have minimum places to offer to SAAS funded students/learners.
Students intending to use SAAS Part Time Fee Grant to fund their studies should apply well prior to the course starting dates. In some cases we allow students to enrol while their funding is in process, if the course date is near or gone past but they have to provide the proof that their funding has been applied to SAAS PTFG and is in under process.
Students can also self-finance this course if do not qualify for the funding. The cost can be divided into manageable instalments but this needs to be paid within the course duration. To book the place, first instalment must be paid three weeks before the course starting date.
