Python Course (Age 10-13)
IT Professional Training proudly presents Kids Computer Courses at our Edinburgh training centre starting in September. Our kid’s courses are fully tailored that will equip your child with the skills needed for school computer based projects. Our mission is to help students with their academic skills in an innovative and fun way. We are committed to provide services that ensure each child reaches their full potential.
Why Python is for Kids?
Python is Kid-Friendly. Python is a general-purpose, versatile and popular programming language. It’s great as a first language because it is concise and easy to read, and it is also a good language to have in any programmer’s stack as it can be used for everything from web development to software development and data science applications. Students write and run Python programs in a programing environment.
There will be more progressive series of this course.
The course utilizes a blended classroom approach. The content is fully web-based, with students writing and running code in the browser. Teachers utilize tools and resources provided by CodeHS to leverage time in the classroom and give focused 1-on-1 attention to students. Each unit of the course is broken down into lessons. Lessons consist of video tutorials, short quizzes, example programs to explore, and written programming exercises, adding up to over 100 hours of hands-on programming practice in total. Each unit ends with a comprehensive unit test that assesses student’s mastery of the material from that unit.
The Python course is designed for complete beginners with no previous background in computer science. The course is highly visual, dynamic, and interactive, making it engaging for new coders.
