The network field is perhaps one of the fastest growing fields of expertise in the industry, and several certifications are available in the Network field, including the CompTIA Network + certification. Networking is the most integral component of information security today and network knowledge is a requirement to be a proficient information cyber security specialist.

CompTIA Network+ prepares networking professionals to earn vendor-neutral certifications in other areas of expertise. A certification by CompTIA, Network+ (N+), helps demonstrate a person’s knowledge in TCP/IP, managing a network, network operating systems, and installing and upgrading networks.

The CompTIA Network+ certification ensures that the successful candidate has the important knowledge and skills necessary to:

☑ Design and implement functional networks

☑ Configure, manage, and maintain essential network devices

☑ Use devices such as switches and routers to segment network traffic and create resilient networks

☑ Identify benefits and drawbacks of existing network configurations

☑ Implement network security, standards, and protocols

☑ Troubleshoot network problems

☑ Support the creation of virtualized networks

Prerequisite:

Required: There are no required prerequisites for Network+ certification.

Recommended: It is recommended for CompTIA Network+ candidates to have the following:
