Microsoft Office Specialist: (MOS) 2019 – Expert

Introduction:

Passing MOS Expert exams in Word or Excel or Access is a way to earn a Microsoft Office Specialist Expert certification. Being certified as an MOS Expert demonstrates that a candidate has advanced skills in key Office Applications.

The new Office 2019 certification has individual Associate level exams for Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook, as well as Expert Level exams for Word, Excel and Access. If you pass three of the MOS Associate exams, you will be awarded the Microsoft Office Specialist: Associate certification, and if you earn a Microsoft Office Specialist Associate certification and pass two additional Expert exams, you will be awarded the Microsoft Office Specialist. Expert certification is the highest certification in the Microsoft Office Specialist program.

Prerequisites:

To become a Microsoft Office Specialist: Expert (Office 2019), candidates must earn the Microsoft Office Specialist: Associate (Office 2019) certification.

Course Objective

It demonstrates that you have the advanced skills needed to get the most out of Office by earning a Microsoft Office Specialist: Expert certification in multiple Office programs such as Word, Excel or Access.

The features of the course include practical exercises and labs and easy to understand lessons. This course is adequate to provide trainees with the required knowledge and practical skills.

SQA Framework

The Microsoft Office program also offers a number of shorter curricula which are related to SQA standalone HN Units. These are also assessed by means of restricted response questions and practical labs and so can give credit transfer to complete units. Learner can earn up to 32 credits upon passing all exams successfully.

The Microsoft Office Specialist Expert (Office 2019) Course is designed for candidates who are interested in gaining a more advanced knowledge of the office application and for experienced Excel users who wish to undertake an intensive refresher course

B: The IT training classes which we are currently offering are suitable for a wide range of candidates including:

  3. Individuals who intend to leave school and further their career path in a college or equivalent
  4. Individuals who are in employment and wish to enhance their career prospects

Course funding: SAAS: Scottish Awards Agency for Scotland (PTFG)

This course is fully SAAS PTFG funded and available to eligible individuals only;

SAAS General funding eligibility requirement:

  1. You have to be a resident of Scotland
  2. Either employed and earning less than 25k a year or can be unemployed as well
  3. Have not used the SAAS funding in this Academic Year.

 

Other criteria:

  1. Students do not need to pay it back as this is a grant not a loan.
  2. This Part time funding can be used/applied by someone who previously granted a funding for a degree, postgrad or any other full time studies (HNC/HND) etc.
  3. Part time funding cannot be receive in a same session if someone is already receiving any part/full time funding for other courses.
  4. Part Time funding can only be utilised for one course in each academic year
  5. SAAS part time funding academic year runs from 1st Aug to 31st July.
