Course Introduction:
CCNA Security is a job role based certification for Security Specialists, Security Administrators, and Network Security Support Engineers. This certification validates skills including installation, troubleshooting and monitoring of network devices to maintain integrity, confidentiality and availability of data and devices and develops competency in the technologies that Cisco uses in its security structure.
Students completing the recommended Cisco training will gain an introduction to security technologies as well as how to develop security policies and mitigate risks. IT organizations that employ CCNA Security-holders will have IT staff that can develop a security infrastructure, recognize threats and vulnerabilities to networks, and mitigate security threats.

Course objectives
• Understanding, implementing, and verifying AAA (authentication, authorization, and accounting), including the details of TACACS+ and RADIUS
• Understanding and describing the various methods for filtering implemented by firewalls, including stateful filtering.
• Compare and contrast the strengths and weaknesses of the various firewall technologies.
• Image Understanding the methods that a firewall may use to implement
Network Address Translation (NAT) and Port Address Translation (PAT).
• Comparing and contrasting intrusion prevention systems (IPS) versus intrusion detection systems (IDS), including the pros and cons of each and the methods used by these systems for identifying malicious traffic
• Finally, understanding virtual private networks (VPNs), including the concepts of symmetrical, asymmetrical, encryption, hashing, Internet Key Exchange (IKE), public key infrastructure (PKI), authentication, Diffie-Hellman, certificate authorities, and so on

Introduction
This course is designed to provide the student with the necessary tools and skills required to attain a MCSA: Windows Server 2016 Certification. The MCSA certificate is designed to accommodate a wide range of students, from pure novices in the realm of Windows Server Implementation to experienced Administrators looking to add this certification to their portfolio to aid towards their career ascension.

Learning &Teaching Methods
• Students will review a number of difference implementations for Windows Server 2016, and develop advanced knowledge in these, this will be re-enforced with practical implementations of key principles.
• Where possible, virtual environments will be used to create real-life integrated environments in which students can learn to integrate security in a safe and controlled manner.
• The exam at the end of each course will involve understanding the design, implementation, evaluation and critical analysis of Windows Server 2016.
• Students can download at the start of the module, an e-Book, teaching pack, and so on. Full on-line support is integrated. The package also contains tests, stimulating challenges, demonstration movies, and automated updates.

The course utilizes a blended classroom approach. The content is fully web-based, with students writing and running code in the browser. Course Description
The CompTIA A+ certification ensures that the successful candidate has the important knowledge and skills necessary (Exam 901) to covers the fundamentals of computer technology, installation and configuration of PCs, laptops and related hardware, and basic networking. Exam 902 covers the skills required to install and configure PC operating systems, as well as configuring common features (e.g. network connectivity and email) for mobile operating systems Android and Apple iOS.

Students will get the chance to assemble and disassemble desktop and /Laptop computers under the supervision of our experienced IT support Instructor. Students intending to use a Part Time Fee Grant to fund their studies should apply for this as soon as possible and prior to the start date of their course. When you have completed the application form an ITPT Course/Guidance Adviser from the IT Professional Training is required to complete the relevant section to authorise your application to SAAS within the deadline, if your application is successful you will be sent an award letter which you should then submit to our Finance department to complete payment.

In some cases we do allow students to enrol and wait for the funding to process if the course date is near or gone past so please contact us to discuss this with ITPT administrators.

MCSA: Windows Server 2016 – 70-740 ( Installing, Storage and Compute with Windows Server 2016 ) @ Edinburgh

Introduction
This course is designed to provide the student with the necessary tools and skills required to attain a MCSA: Windows Server 2016 Certification. The MCSA certificate is designed to accommodate a wide range of students, from pure novices in the realm of Windows Server Implementation to experienced Administrators looking to add this certification to their portfolio to aid towards their career ascension.

Learning &Teaching Methods
• Students will review a number of difference implementations for Windows Server 2016, and develop advanced knowledge in these, this will be re-enforced with practical implementations of key principles.
• Where possible, virtual environments will be used to create real-life integrated environments in which students can learn to integrate security in a safe and controlled manner.
• The exam at the end of each course will involve understanding the design, implementation, evaluation and critical analysis of Windows Server 2016.
• Students can download at the start of the module, an e-Book, teaching pack, and so on. Full on-line support is integrated. The package also contains tests, stimulating challenges, demonstration movies, and automated updates.

Training covered
This course has an exam which upon completion provides the student with a Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) Certificate.

Progression:
In order for the student to attain a MCSA: Windows Server 2016 certificate, successful completion of all three exams is required.

Hands on Experience
All Microsoft labs contain/adhere to the following:

The labs are presented in virtual format as compressed Virtual Machines (VM). Usually each Microsoft Unit would have around 12 VMs you would have to download, import, configure and run scripts using powershell. The VMs are run either in:
