Course Introduction:
This course is designed to provide the student with the necessary tools and skills required to attain an ITIL Foundation certificate. The ITIL foundation course is designed to enable an individual to understand the importance of service management, both to the IT service provider, and to its customers. Students will also be introduced to the service lifecycle, its processes, and the functions which carry out those processes. Specifically, it shows how the ITIL best practice framework can be used to improve the quality, effectiveness and efficiency of service management in every type of organization. The students will be provided with equipment, techniques, technologies, and methodologies that are standard across the world. Companies utilise some form of IT Support Helpdesk. ITIL Foundation is used in virtually every region of every country in the World, and thus has excellent internationalisation. Management of the ITIL products is necessary and students should be able to understand how proper management of an ITIL system is able to catapult an organisations policies and procedures.

SQA Framework:
This course also offers a number of shorter curricula which are related to SQA standalone HN Units. These are also assessed by means of restricted response questions and practical labs and so can give credit transfer to complete units. Learner can earn up to 40 credits upon passing all exams successfully.
Modes of Learning:
eLearning: is self-paced, you will be completing the course in your own time and do not have to attend any traditional face to face classes or virtual. You will be assisted by a dedicated tutor/mentor throughout the course attendance via email.

In addition to the funding application student must fill ITPT course admission application form so we can reserve the place while their SAAS funding application is in process. Any student who do not inform us then their place in the course will not be guaranteed as we have minimum places to offer to SAAS funded students/learners.
Students intending to use SAAS Part Time Fee Grant to fund their studies should apply well prior to the course starting dates. In some cases we allow students to enrol while their funding is in process, if the course date is near or gone past but they have to provide the proof that their funding has been applied to SAAS PTFG and is in under process.
Self-Finance
Students can also self-finance this course if do not qualify for the funding.
