Course Title: HND Computing: Technical Support with Cyber Security

The HND covers a range of specialist technical skills and knowledge in using and supporting computer systems. Typically, an HNC takes one year to complete and an HND takes two years.

This course will allow students to study towards up-to-date Vendor specific certifications in many of the skills that are in demand for many different types of career in IT Technical Support Role. The course provides a comprehensive range of knowledge and practical skills in providing technical expertise in pc maintenance, installing windows, desktop support, Cloud and server support.

At ITPT we have organised labs which are fully equipped with the latest hardware components, software’s & servers. In labs learners will have the opportunity to build PC’s & laptops, studying the Microsoft Windows Server operating systems within virtualised environment provide hands on experience and learning.

What will you study?

Students will study a selection of appropriate technical support units designed to develop student’s skills and competencies to enable further study in any university undergraduate in computing programme.

The HND Computing from ITPT offers a range of broad based computing support, cloud & VMware Cloud Virtualisation and Linux LPI.

Completion of the course culminates in a thought provoking project based on realistic scenarios

Entry Requirements

Minimum Entry Requirements: 

  • Must pass HNC Computing (preferably 15 Credits) Unit Or
  • Mature candidates without the necessary minimum qualifications, will be considered on an individual basis Or
  • Other equivalent qualifications or experience will also be considered

Additional Selection Requirements: 

All applications are subject to an interview to assess suitability in terms of academic qualifications and motivation. Reference will also be considered.

Students will be invited to a group and/or individual interview where they will get the opportunity to find out more about the course.
